Lesson to Rookie Indian Netas

Furious Gandhi statue. robzone.blogspot.com

Untrustworthy politicians of a "Grand Old Party "never go past near the statue of Gandhiji in Delhi because, they do things just opposite to what he has said. They are not only afraid of his stern stare, but also of bloodshot eyes.

At a party meeting  in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, a well experienced  politician gave a pep talk, of course, with full of sum and substance before a group of rookies (budding politicians):

"A true and matured politician is the one  who turns
the 'difference' into a  divide,
controversy into acute crisis,
'boon' into doom
 a 'flop' into furor,
'discussion hour' in the Assembly or Parliament into pandemonium
'enmity' between groups into a pitched battle  and opponent's weakness to his advantage......

Now, you have learned 65% of the trade. If you  want go beyond 90% category, you should learn how to 'hoard' your boodles and  'cover up' all the allegations against you as if you had nothing to do with them. If you are timid and have  'elements of scruple', you are unfit to be a politician."To cross 95% grade, you must learn the nuances of horse trading in a subtle manner by enticing other party's elected members.

Once you become a politician with sound foundation and if your party is not good enough to become a ruling party, you must  be smart enough to guard  your loyal elected members from moving over to other prospective party.  You can hold them  in a strong room with guards posted for 24 hours on duty to avoid sneaking until  your party gets  enough  majority to enter the corridors of power and pelf.   Image credits: Cartoonists of Deccan Herald and others
