Sri Ramana Maharishi, a well-known Indian sage and jivanmukta (liberated being), had spent much of his time till his Mukthi (salvation) in Tiruvannamali town, Tamil Nadu, famous for the Sri Aunachaleswarer temple  dedicated to God Shiva and Goddess Parvati (Unnamali). He experienced his spiritual ecstasy  near  the hills of  Arunachala that surround the temple.  Adi Shankara saw Arunachala as Mount Meru, which is in the Hindu  mythology the axis of the world, and the abode of Brahman and  gods.  Self-realization is the  core of Sri Ramanar's spiritual teaching. To him  “when there is no ‘I’ there is no karma.” The following  quotes from  this great saint may give you inspiration  and help you achieve  spiritual happiness.
